About the role

SingleStore is looking for a Support Engineer to join its Technical Support department in Hyderabad. The role blends deep database engineering knowledge with customer‑facing support, requiring hands‑on work with SQL databases, Linux systems, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide email and live technical assistance to enterprise customers, handling complex issues and critical outages.
  • Reproduce product problems, perform quality checks, and file detailed bug reports or feature requests.
  • Work closely with developers, sales engineers, and account managers to keep stakeholders informed of issue status.
  • Improve support processes by authoring run‑books, documentation, and tooling enhancements.
  • Participate in an on‑call rotation, including weekends and holidays.

Eligibility

  • Minimum 4 years of advanced, customer‑facing technical support experience.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Skills

  • Proficiency with MySQL or compatible databases and SQL query optimization.
  • Hands‑on experience with Linux, Kubernetes, and system administration.
  • Ability to script or code in Python, Bash, or Go for rapid problem solving.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
