About the role

The Applications Support Analyst will join Citi’s technology team in Gurgaon to manage production releases, support day‑to‑day operations and ensure business continuity for enterprise applications. Working in a hybrid setting, the analyst will operate within a 24x7 shift model, handling release execution, incident triage and post‑deployment validation.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and own production and continuity‑of‑business releases, following Change Management governance.
  • Drive automated and manual deployments using tools such as Harness, uDeploy, Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket and related CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform pre‑deployment health checks, rollback procedures and post‑deployment validation in PROD and disaster‑recovery environments.
  • Provide 24x7 operational support, including shift handovers, incident investigation and problem resolution.
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs and batch schedules, and contribute to root‑cause analysis after incidents.
  • Collaborate with business users, release managers, development and infrastructure teams during deployment windows.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 4‑6 years of experience in application support, production support or release operations, preferably in financial services.
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends and overnight release windows.

Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with release automation tools (Harness, uDeploy/IBM UrbanCode Deploy, Jenkins, Tekton).
  • Proficiency in version control and artifact repositories (Git/Bitbucket, Artifactory).
  • Familiarity with ITIL change, incident and problem management processes (ServiceNow).
  • Experience with monitoring platforms such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace or ITRS Geneos.
  • Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix, shell scripting and SQL/database querying.
  • Ability to communicate technical details clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
