About the role

The WLAN Technical Support Engineer position at Hewlett Packard Enterprise is a hybrid role based in Chennai and Bangalore, India. You will spend roughly two days a week in an HPE office while contributing to the design, testing and troubleshooting of networking solutions that support HPE’s edge‑to‑cloud portfolio.

Responsibilities

Design portions of engineering solutions that span hardware, software and system components, following established specifications.
Execute test plans for existing designs, validating mechanical, electrical and software requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams and outsourced partners to develop reliable, cost‑effective products.
Apply engineering design tools and software packages to create and refine product concepts.
Analyse technical data, identify root‑causes and recommend corrective actions.
Communicate design proposals and technical findings clearly in English and the local language.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
Typically 2‑4 years of relevant experience in engineering design, testing or technical support.
Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficiency in written and spoken English; fluency in the local language is a plus.

Skills

Familiarity with engineering design and analysis tools.
Understanding of material properties, hardware and electrical component design.
Ability to develop and follow test plans for validation.
Good communication skills for interacting with cross‑functional teams.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts and WLAN technologies.
