About the role
The Senior Software Engineer will join a Mumbai‑based agile team delivering enterprise‑grade solutions for local government and housing association clients. The position focuses on full‑stack development, combining a Java‑centric backend with modern Angular front‑ends, and values hands‑on coding, problem‑solving and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners, analysts, testers and fellow engineers to design and build web applications using Angular (v7+) and Java.
- Develop, test and maintain RESTful services with Spring Boot, integrating databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
- Produce clean, performant code and provide effort estimates for new features.
- Translate outline specifications into functional prototypes and production‑ready solutions.
- Apply design and architectural patterns, ensuring code quality and scalability.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend their adoption where beneficial.
