Lead Software Engineer - Frontend

About the role

FINN is seeking a hands‑on Lead Frontend Engineer to own the end‑to‑end experience of its web and mobile products built with Angular and Ionic. The role combines deep technical work with team leadership, shaping architecture, driving feature delivery, and influencing product direction for a fast‑growing fintech serving hundreds of thousands of users across EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship the complete frontend stack for web and mobile, from concept to production.
• Lead complex feature work, making rapid decisions, iterating based on real‑world usage.
• Define and evolve technical standards, architecture, tooling, and developer experience.
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to craft solutions, not just follow specs.
• Write substantial production code while mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of quality and speed.
• Leverage AI tools to improve coding, debugging, and code‑review processes.

Eligibility

• Proven record of delivering complex user‑facing products, preferably across web and mobile.
• Strong product instincts and ability to question solutions that don’t feel right for users.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern frontend fundamentals.
• Experience mentoring engineers and setting team standards.
• Comfort handling ambiguous problems and turning them into shipped solutions.
• Pragmatic judgment balancing architecture depth with rapid delivery.
