About the role

Arango is looking for a Frontend Engineer to design and build modern user interfaces for its contextual data platform. The role is fully remote for candidates based in India and involves turning Figma designs into responsive React applications while collaborating with backend and AI teams.

Responsibilities

Develop new features for the Arango Data Platform UI and enhance the open‑source ArangoDB UI.
Modernize legacy frontend code by migrating to React and TypeScript.
Implement graph visualisation, data‑exploration tools, and AI‑powered dashboards.
Convert Figma prototypes into polished, intuitive interfaces, applying strong UX judgment.
Own feature development end‑to‑end, from requirement shaping to shipping and iteration.
Collaborate with backend and AI/ML engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality.

Eligibility

Must reside in India and be authorized to work there.
Minimum 5 years of professional frontend development experience.
Ability to work remotely with occasional travel as needed.

Skills

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
Familiarity with BackboneJS and jQuery.
Good understanding of user experience principles.
Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating frontend with backend services.
Effective communication and ability to articulate design decisions.
