Senior Front End Software Engineer

About the role

Qualys is seeking a Senior Front End Software Engineer to join its Pune office. You will design, develop, and scale high‑performance web applications for enterprise customers, primarily using React and modern JavaScript. The role also involves exploring AI‑assisted development tools to boost productivity and delivering pixel‑perfect UI from Figma designs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, performant user interfaces with React, hooks, and state‑management libraries.
• Create and maintain reusable component libraries and design‑system assets.
• Drive frontend architecture decisions, optimize bundle size with Vite/Webpack, and ensure cross‑browser accessibility.
• Own CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, manage source control via Bitbucket/Git, and track work in Jira.
• Evaluate and integrate AI‑assisted coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to improve development velocity.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and champion best‑practice standards.

Eligibility

• 5‑9 years of professional frontend engineering experience.
• Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), React (5+ years), and TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, and modern bundlers (Vite or Webpack).
• Proficiency with CI/CD (Jenkins), version control (Bitbucket/Git), and agile tracking (Jira).
• Practical exposure to AI‑assisted development tools and micro‑frontend architectures.
• Experience writing unit tests (Vitest, React Testing Library, Mocha/Chai) and familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.
