About the role

Onit is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain Databricks‑based data pipelines that enable a new benchmarking feature in its AI‑driven legal operations platform. The role focuses on transforming fragmented source data into a reliable, multi‑tenant analytics foundation while ensuring privacy and data quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable batch and incremental pipelines in Databricks using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
  • Implement the canonical data model and medallion architecture to ensure consistent reporting across products.
  • Create entity‑resolution workflows that reconcile duplicate and conflicting records from disparate systems.
  • Design automated data‑quality checks, monitoring dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Orchestrate jobs with Databricks Workflows, optimise Spark performance, and manage cost.
  • Apply Unity Catalog governance, multi‑tenant isolation, and privacy‑preserving transformations.
