About the role

Pattern, a fast‑growing eCommerce data platform, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its AI Platforms team in Pune. You will design, build, and operate backend services that turn raw data into automated actions for major consumer brands, working in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run backend services that ingest events, track cases, and coordinate agent execution.
  • Ensure platform correctness through idempotency, deduplication, locking, and comprehensive audit trails.
  • Develop and evolve AI‑driven agents and MCP tool servers, integrating human‑in‑the‑loop approval flows.
  • Write evaluation suites for agents and LLM features, and monitor cost and observability.
  • Collaborate across teams, sometimes using Python or Ruby on Rails, to deliver end‑to‑end automations.
  • Provide production support, on‑call triage, and mentor junior engineers.

Eligibility
