About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an FPGA Development Engineer to work onsite in India. The role involves end‑to‑end FPGA design and verification for high‑speed networking interfaces, collaborating with cross‑functional teams across hardware, software and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Own the creation and delivery of FPGA designs and verification environments.
  • Produce functional specifications, register definitions and micro‑architecture documents.
  • Coordinate with board design, signal‑integrity, software and manufacturing groups on NPI programs.
  • Drive design through RTL, synthesis, place‑and‑route and static timing analysis.
  • Develop and debug high‑speed interfaces using SerDes cores and protocol stacks.
  • Support lab testing with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and networking test equipment.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
  • Industry experience with FPGA/CPLD design and verification, preferably in networking.
  • Hands‑on experience with Xilinx, Altera or Lattice toolchains.
  • Familiarity with protocols such as DDR‑2, DDR‑3, PCI‑Express, SPI, I2C, XGMII, XAUI, etc.
  • Strong debugging skills and comfort with high‑end test equipment.

Skills

  • FPGA and CPLD development.
  • Proficiency in Xilinx, Altera and Lattice design tools.
  • Understanding of high‑speed serial protocols and SerDes.
  • UVM‑based verification (a plus).
  • Lab instrumentation: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, networking testers.
