About the role

As an Embedded Firmware Engineer at Texas Instruments India, you will design and develop safety‑critical firmware for mmWave radar sensors, implement real‑time control algorithms, create reusable interface libraries, and work closely with hardware teams to ensure robust, high‑performance sensor solutions.

Responsibilities

Design ISO 26262 ASIL‑D and IEC 61508 SIL‑3 compliant firmware for radar sensors.
Implement real‑time radar control firmware for configuration, calibration and high‑speed data acquisition.
Build fault‑tolerant, fail‑safe firmware with extensive diagnostic coverage.
Create customer RF evaluation applications, test tools and production test firmware.
Develop scalable interface libraries to simplify sensor integration.
Collaborate with hardware groups to define firmware‑hardware interfaces.
Set up automated testing frameworks and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
Provide technical support during customer engagements and safety audits.

Eligibility

Minimum 1 year of experience in embedded firmware development.
Strong grasp of real‑time embedded systems and engineering principles.
Proficiency in C, assembly language, compilers and linkers.
Experience with bare‑metal firmware and scripting languages (Python, Perl, Lua).
Hands‑on debugging using JTAG, trace and logic analyzers.
Familiarity with software development life‑cycle, unit and integration testing.
