About the role

Citi is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join its Equities team in Pune. The position blends development and operations, focusing on KDB+/q and automation while supporting Java‑based applications in a fast‑paced financial‑technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software solutions using modern languages such as Java, Python or C++.
  • Learn and apply KDB+/q development as part of the team’s roadmap.
  • Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Support production systems, troubleshoot issues and ensure reliable releases.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, communicating progress and challenges.

Eligibility

  • Minimum 4 years of software development experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of relational databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and production support.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Java, Python or C++.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments (preferred).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Ability to work in a data‑intensive, financial‑services setting.
