About the role

Ciklum is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer for its Chennai hub in India. The position is full‑time and hybrid, focusing on building and maintaining cloud‑native platforms on AWS for enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design and provision development, testing and production environments in AWS, adhering to cloud‑governance standards.
  • Create CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
  • Implement secrets management, service‑account handling and credential rotation.
  • Set up logging, tracing and observability with CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry or Datadog.
  • Deploy API gateways (AWS API Gateway or Kong) and manage networking components like VPCs.
  • Prepare deployment documentation, monitoring, alerting, runbooks and support production releases.

Eligibility

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering on AWS.
  • Proven ability to work within enterprise change‑control processes.

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem.
  • Infrastructure‑as‑Code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • API gateway technologies (AWS API Gateway, Kong).
  • Container orchestration (ECS/EKS) and serverless (Lambda).
  • Observability and monitoring (CloudWatch, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
