About the role
Citi is looking for an intermediate‑level Application Developer who will work on designing, building, and maintaining Java and Python based solutions for its technology platform. Based in Pune, the position follows a hybrid work model and reports to the Applications Development team. The role blends system analysis, coding, testing and mentorship, aiming to deliver secure, reliable applications that meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Analyse existing applications, identify enhancements, and use scripting tools to modify or extend code.
- Collaborate with users, client teams and other technology groups to understand requirements and propose programming solutions.
- Design specifications using core Java and Python programming concepts.
- Perform security reviews, vulnerability assessments, testing and debugging of application code.
- Coach junior analysts, act as a subject‑matter expert for senior stakeholders, and provide guidance on best practices.
- Make independent technical judgments, assess risk, and ensure compliance with Citi’s policies and regulatory standards.
