About the role

Barclays is looking for an Engineer on the AI Platform to design, develop and enhance software that powers business and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues. The role focuses on building scalable cloud applications, integrating generative AI services, and ensuring secure, high‑quality code.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver robust software solutions using modern languages, frameworks and cloud services.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to define requirements and create integrated solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, promote best‑practice coding standards and mentor peers.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to internal tech communities.
  • Apply secure coding practices and implement comprehensive unit testing.
  • Guide risk mitigation, policy adherence and control strengthening within the team.

Eligibility
