Senior Frontend Engineer

About the role

Asteri AI is seeking a senior frontend engineer to lead the design and development of its AI‑native work intelligence platform. You will craft high‑performance, data‑rich web interfaces using React, Next.js and TypeScript, while shaping front‑end architecture and driving best‑practice standards across the product.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable front‑end systems with Next.js and React.
• Build type‑safe TypeScript UI components that visualize complex orchestration workflows.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate AI concepts into intuitive user experiences.
• Define and consume clean APIs (REST/GraphQL, FastAPI, Node.js) ensuring efficient data flow.
• Optimize performance for large data sets and real‑time updates.
• Integrate external services such as Jira and Slack into a unified UI graph.
• Establish testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E) and CI/CD pipelines for front‑end reliability.
• Mentor peers, set architectural direction, and champion engineering excellence.

Eligibility

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience focused on front‑end development.
• Strong mastery of TypeScript and modern React patterns (hooks, context, server components).
• Proficiency with CSS frameworks like Tailwind and a solid eye for UI/UX detail.
• Experience building production‑grade web apps using Docker‑based container workflows.
• Hands‑on testing expertise with Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright or Cypress.
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate across product, design, and backend teams.
