Mastercard has worked in India for more than four decades. It has offices in Gurugram, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Vadodara, and a technology hub in Pune that started in 2014 with a small team. Its Pune campus at Bluegrass Business Park in Yerwada opened in October 2024 and is built for more than 6,000 technologists, engineers and other specialists. Teams there work on software, data architecture, cybersecurity and finance, and support the company's global work on payment safety, fraud detection and digital identity.
