CGI is an IT and business consulting company. It advises clients on strategy and technology, builds and integrates their systems, runs their applications, infrastructure and business processes as managed services, and sells software it owns. Its clients come from 21 industry sectors, among them government, banking, insurance, health and manufacturing. It had about 94,000 consultants and professionals as of September 2025.
In India, CGI lists three offices in Bengaluru, two in Hyderabad and one each in Chennai, Mumbai and Pune. They belong to its Asia Pacific Global Delivery Centers of Excellence, which serves CGI's clients worldwide with application development and management, infrastructure management and managed IT services. CGI also helps other companies set up and run GCCs (global capability centres: a company's own technology hub in India).
