About the role
The Network Security Engineer will join Unisys India’s Bangalore campus to design, configure, and maintain firewall and cloud‑network security solutions. The role focuses on Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, Azure networking services, and security operations, supporting both on‑prem and virtual environments while collaborating with senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Configure and troubleshoot FortiGate and Palo Alto firewalls, including policies, NAT, VPNs, HA, and firmware upgrades.
- Manage Azure networking components such as VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, and network security groups.
- Analyze security logs, threat events, and SIEM data to identify and triage incidents.
- Execute change requests, maintain documentation, and produce regular security metrics reports.
- Coordinate with application owners, GITS, and senior engineers during maintenance windows and migrations.
Eligibility
- BA/BS degree in a relevant discipline.
- 0‑2 years of hands‑on experience with firewalls, networking, or cloud security.
- Eligibility to work in India.
Skills
- Fortinet FortiGate (CLI/GUI) and Palo Alto PAN‑OS administration.
- VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL, GlobalProtect).
- Routing protocols – static, BGP, OSPF, policy‑based routing.
- Azure networking – VNets, ExpressRoute, Route Server, NSGs.
- Security operations – log analysis, SIEM basics, incident triage.
- Change management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
