About the role

Autodesk is looking for an Application Security Engineer to join its Product Security team in Bangalore. You will work on securing AI‑driven applications, performing threat modelling, and building automation tools that help engineering teams embed security early in the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Lead threat‑modelling workshops for AI and LLM‑based systems, identifying assets, attack paths, and mitigation strategies.
Assess security risks specific to large language models, AI agents, and retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines.
Develop security guidance, reference architectures, and secure design patterns using frameworks such as OWASP LLM Top 10 and MITRE ATLAS.
Build and maintain automation scripts and tooling in Python or Go to streamline security reviews.
Conduct hands‑on testing of AI capabilities, including adversarial prompt testing and validation of guardrails.
Collaborate with product, engineering, platform, and security stakeholders to embed secure practices throughout CI/CD pipelines.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Fundamental understanding of application security principles and secure software design.
Familiarity with threat‑modelling methods such as STRIDE, data‑flow diagrams, or attack trees.
Ability to write automation scripts in Python, Go, or a comparable language.
Experience with Git‑based version control and CI/CD workflows.
Strong problem‑solving mindset, curiosity, and effective communication skills.
