About the role
This entry‑level position supports fibre services operations, handling planning, design and as‑built documentation using GIS tools. The role is based in Chennai and involves close interaction with field engineers, suppliers and customers to ensure service quality and SLA compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in fibre network planning and design activities.
- Conduct feasibility analyses for new fibre deployments.
- Update GIS platforms (AutoCAD, Smallworld, ArcGIS) with as‑built records.
- Coordinate with on‑shore field engineers and suppliers to meet project timelines.
- Maintain 100% first‑time‑right (FTR) and SLA targets.
- Prepare and present reports, KPI dashboards, and slide decks for internal and customer meetings.
Eligibility
- Technical or Engineering degree.
- Batches 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
Skills
- ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Smallworld GIS tools.
- Fibre planning and quantity surveying.
- Understanding of telecom network architecture and optical fibre systems.
- Good communication for stakeholder interaction.
- Basic PMO and supplier‑management capabilities.
