About the role

Tata Communications is seeking a fresh graduate to join its Chennai office as a Junior CAD Engineer. The role focuses on creating, modifying and maintaining 2D and 3D technical drawings for telecom infrastructure using AutoCAD, with a salary of ₹3‑3.6 LPA.

Responsibilities

  • Produce 2D drafts, annotations and 3D models of towers, shelters, foundations and related telecom structures.
  • Prepare preliminary, detailed and as‑built drawings adhering to operator standards.
  • Generate site layouts, antenna plans, cable schematics and electrical details.
  • Maintain version‑controlled DWG and PDF files and create dynamic CAD blocks.
  • Collaborate with engineers to resolve design issues and compile BOMs and technical documentation.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 0–1 years of experience or fresh graduate status.
  • AutoCAD certification is mandatory.

Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting, 3D modeling, layers, blocks).
  • Understanding of structural design concepts for telecom sites.
  • Ability to produce BOMs and technical drawings.
  • MS Office competency.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies.
