About the role

Eaton’s Center for Sustainability is seeking an Associate Engineer to support product stewardship and regulatory compliance for its aerospace portfolio. The role is based in Pune, Maharashtra and is ideal for candidates with a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or sustainability discipline and up to one year of experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in compliance assessments for new and existing products against regulations such as REACH, AD‑DSL, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS and Proposition 65.
Collaborate with local and global suppliers to gather compliance data and feed it into engineering projects.
Work closely with project engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply‑chain and sales teams to ensure products meet market requirements.
Monitor project progress, prepare regular status reports and communicate findings to cross‑functional stakeholders.
Research upcoming regulatory changes and propose process improvements.
Leverage digital tools, dashboards and automation to increase efficiency of compliance activities.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Chemical, Mechanical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
0–1 year of relevant experience or fresh graduate status.
Basic theoretical knowledge of product stewardship and environmental regulations.

Skills

Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals, material properties and measurement concepts.
Understanding of key product‑regulation frameworks (REACH, RoHS, TSCA, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication for explaining technical information.
Interest in automation, continuous‑improvement methods and digital reporting tools.
Ability to coordinate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams across geographies.
