About the role

Stripe is looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join its Bengaluru team. The intern will contribute to production‑grade code across Stripe’s platform, impacting millions of businesses worldwide. You will work closely with seasoned engineers, receive mentorship, and leverage modern AI tools to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Participate fully as a team member, joining design discussions and technical decisions.
• Develop production‑ready software that directly supports Stripe’s products and users.
• Provide and incorporate feedback through code reviews and design critiques.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross‑functional stakeholders to gather requirements and iterate on solutions.
• Learn rapidly by asking insightful questions, communicating progress clearly, and using the latest AI tooling.
• Take ownership of end‑to‑end features under the guidance of an intern manager.

Eligibility

• Strong foundation in computer science obtained through a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, math, or a related field.
• Hands‑on programming experience via side projects, coursework, or previous internships.
• Familiarity with languages such as Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, or Scala.
• Experience working on multi‑person projects or open‑source contributions that show ability to receive and act on feedback.
• Capability to learn unfamiliar systems independently and with mentor support.
• Aptitude for leveraging AI tools responsibly while applying rigorous critical thinking.

Skills

• Proficiency in Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, and Scala.
• Solid understanding of software development fundamentals and best practices.
• Experience with code reviews and collaborative development workflows.
