About the role

Walmart India Development Centre is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Bangalore campus. The position is open exclusively to Indian nationals completing their final year of study in the United States (Class of 2026). You will build large‑scale, AI‑enabled software that powers supply‑chain, retail, finance and logistics platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and deploy scalable software systems.
Collaborate with product, design and data teams to deliver features.
Address engineering challenges in AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, data platforms and consumer applications.
Participate in agile cycles, code reviews and innovation sprints.
Maintain and enhance applications that improve customer and associate experiences.
Work across domains such as supply‑chain, retail, finance, logistics and mobile.

Eligibility

Final‑year (Class of 2026) students in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields.
Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0 or equivalent.
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++ or JavaScript.
Familiarity with GitHub, Copilot, Qodo Merge and DX AI chat.
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and system design.
Must be an Indian national currently enrolled in a U.S. university.
