About the role

Shell is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Trading & Supply Competency Centre in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering IT solutions for energy trading, working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams across the globe.

Responsibilities

Translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
Develop, test, and release enhancements, defect fixes, and new features using DevOps practices.
Prototype and pilot new technologies, including third‑party integrations and SaaS solutions.
Support end‑to‑end testing, deployment, and post‑deployment validation.
Collaborate with global teams, attend scrum calls, and share knowledge within the IT community.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
3 to 7 years of corporate IT experience, preferably in ETRM/CTRM domains.
Experience with OpenLink Endur (v11+) and related scripting (JVS, OpenComponents).

Skills

Strong knowledge of OpenLink Endur and its database schema.
Proficiency in Java and .NET development.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps tools such as VSTS and Git.
