Shell plc is a British multinational oil and gas company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Following its 2022 corporate-structure unification, Shell is registered in England and Wales with a single line of shares listed on the London, New York, and Amsterdam stock exchanges. The company traces its origins to the 1907 merger between the Royal Dutch Petroleum Company and the Shell Transport and Trading Company. Shell operates across upstream, integrated gas, downstream products, and renewables and energy solutions, with a presence in more than 70 countries. Its products include crude oil, natural gas, LNG, petrochemicals, fuels, lubricants, electric-vehicle charging, and hydrogen.
