Frontend Engineer

About the role

Razorpay is looking for a Frontend Engineer to create robust, high‑performance user interfaces for its large‑scale digital payments platform. You will collaborate with backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver responsive, accessible web experiences that align with Razorpay’s brand and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement responsive UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Develop and maintain frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Translate wireframes and mockups into functional, pixel‑perfect interfaces.
• Ensure cross‑browser compatibility and optimise applications for speed and scalability.
• Write clean, modular code following industry best practices.
• Perform testing, debugging, and code reviews to uphold quality.
• Integrate frontend features with backend APIs and services.
• Collaborate with product owners to clarify requirements and provide technical insights.
• Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and propose improvements.
• Champion accessibility by adhering to WCAG guidelines.

Eligibility

• Minimum 1 + years of professional frontend development experience.
• Proficiency with a major JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue, Ember, or Backbone).
• Hands‑on experience with front‑end tooling such as SASS/Sty­lus, Jade, Grunt or Gulp.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Ability to take a feature from concept to production independently.
• Willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
• Optional: personal side projects on GitHub, contributions to open‑source, or prior experience at a product‑focused company.
