About the role
PwC is looking for a Senior Associate who will work as a Java + Scala Data Engineer within its Data, Analytics & AI advisory practice. Based in Mumbai’s Goregaon area, you will design and deliver scalable, cloud‑ready solutions that turn raw data into actionable insights for clients across industries.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build end‑to‑end data pipelines and micro‑services using Java, Scala, Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Write clean, testable code, set up CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Gradle/Maven and IaC tooling.
- Mentor junior engineers, champion best‑practice development standards and participate in agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate with global technologists and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical designs.
- Perform full SDLC activities – analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment and monitoring.
- Optimize database queries on PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server or DB2 and ensure high‑performance Linux‑based deployments.
