About the role

Gartner is seeking a Software Engineer specialized in Azure data engineering to design, build, and optimise data pipelines and warehouses. You will work with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and SQL DW to turn business requirements into scalable cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

Create and optimise ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks notebooks.
Collaborate with architects and data‑science teams to design Azure‑based, business‑aligned solutions.
Develop and maintain data models, warehouse schemas, and metadata management processes.
Provide technical guidance on Azure cloud architecture and infrastructure strategy.
Document specifications, testing plans, and support procedures.
Identify and mitigate risks across design, implementation, and delivery phases.
