Frontend Software Engineer, Vehicle Test & Data Platforms

About the role

As a Frontend Software Engineer on Tesla's Vehicle Test & Data Platforms, you will create and maintain shared React and Next.js user interfaces, build complex data tables, and develop testing platforms that are directly used by vehicle engineering teams. The position is onsite at Tesla's Fremont campus and expects around three years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement reusable React components and Next.js pages for internal testing tools.
• Build and optimise high‑performance data tables that handle large vehicle datasets.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure data consistency.
• Maintain code quality through code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Monitor performance and reliability of frontend services, fixing issues promptly.

Eligibility

• Graduated with a relevant engineering or science degree (e.g., B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc or equivalent).
• Minimum three years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, Next.js and modern JavaScript.
