About PwC
PwC, formally PricewaterhouseCoopers, is a multinational professional-services network of member firms that provides assurance, tax, and advisory services to public and private organisations. The current network was formed in 1998 through the merger of Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand, two firms whose origins trace back to the mid-19th century in London, and it operates as a network of legally separate member firms coordinated through PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited. The firm provides services across assurance, including external audit, internal audit, and risk assurance; tax, including corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and people-and-organisation tax services; and advisory, including consulting, deals, forensic services, and risk and regulatory advisory. PwC is widely classified as one of the Big Four professional-services networks alongside Deloitte, EY, and KPMG. In India, the network operates through PwC India, with offices in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Gurugram, Pune, Ahmedabad, and other cities, and through PwC Acceleration Centers that provide cross-border audit, tax, and advisory delivery for global PwC member firms. Indian fresher and early-career hiring at PwC and its India service-delivery centres targets associate, analyst, technology-consultant, software-engineer, data-engineer, cybersecurity-analyst, audit-associate, and tax-associate roles, with positions filled through campus placements at engineering, commerce, and business schools and direct applications via the PwC India careers portal.
