About the role
Maersk is looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join its SAP Transportation Management (TM) transformation team in Pune. You will work on the new‑age SAP platform, designing and delivering end‑to‑end solutions that support global trade logistics, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across geographies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP applications, focusing on SAP TM and related objects such as forwarding orders, freight orders and planning documents.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement enhancements using ABAP, BOPF and RAP.
- Integrate SAP TM with other modules (Finance, Event Management) and external systems via OData services and APIs.
- Perform unit, integration and system testing, and troubleshoot issues to ensure data integrity and system stability.
- Provide technical guidance during implementation and post‑implementation phases, and document specifications and test artifacts.
- Stay current with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori/UI5, and emerging AI/ML concepts that can optimise logistics processes.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as an SAP ABAP developer with a strong focus on SAP Transportation Management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders at all levels.
Skills
- Deep expertise in ABAP, BOPF, Core Data Services and RAP.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP TM data model, master data and process flows.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori/UI5 and integration technologies such as OData and APIs.
- Ability to analyse complex business requirements and deliver optimal technical solutions.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning and problem‑solving capabilities.
