About the role

Itron is hiring a Software Engineer for its Bangalore office to develop and operate production services that support critical utility operations. You will own features end‑to‑end, collaborate with senior engineers, product managers and support teams, and contribute to a ground‑up rebuild of a customer‑critical platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, release and monitor new features and services.
  • Write design notes, participate in code reviews and mentor newer engineers.
  • Develop automated tests, add observability and take part in on‑call rotations.
  • Understand user needs, troubleshoot production issues and iterate on improvements.
  • Contribute to larger architectural designs and help break down ambiguous problems.
