About the role
GE Vernova is looking for a Software Engineering Specialist to join its Bengaluru team. The role involves end‑to‑end ownership of cloud‑native applications, from gathering requirements and designing RESTful APIs to coding, testing, and deploying scalable services on AWS. You will work with a modern .NET stack, container technologies, and a range of data stores while collaborating closely with product, UX, and other engineering peers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain micro‑service APIs using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework.
- Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and best‑practice coding standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Drive automated testing (unit, integration, UI) and ensure high‑quality releases via CI/CD pipelines.
- Containerize applications with Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes, and manage deployment on AWS/Azure.
- Optimize database schemas and queries across SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Implement observability – logging, monitoring, alerting – using tools such as Splunk, Prometheus or ELK.
- Integrate AI/ML components where they add value to product features.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead technical initiatives and contribute to architectural decisions.
