Lead Software Engineer (Fullstack - Frontend Heavy)

About the role

Cvent is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to head its frontend‑heavy microapps team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing scalable, high‑performance solutions, driving AI‑assisted development, and guiding a distributed engineering group to deliver SaaS products for the events industry.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement flexible, robust solutions that meet business requirements.
• Work with modern Nrwl/Nx, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Tailwind, GraphQL and Java tech stack.
• Collaborate with the Scrum team on scoping, estimating, building, and testing new features.
• Ensure reliable delivery of features, improvements, and bug fixes on a predictable cadence.
• Mentor engineers on best practices, patterns, and emerging technologies.
• Promote effective communication, teamwork, and attention to detail across the team.
• Partner with top engineers to develop complex SaaS applications.

Eligibility

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7‑9 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and Java/Node.
• Hands‑on experience building React applications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and rapid prototyping abilities.
• Proven track record in fast‑paced, agile environments.
• Experience leading engineering teams and distributed collaborations.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated leadership in adopting AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
