About the role

Commvault is looking for a Data Engineer focused on platform engineering to build, automate, and operate shared cloud services that power data, analytics, and AI workloads. Based in Bangalore, you will collaborate with senior engineers, analytics teams, and security specialists to provision Azure resources, maintain Databricks environments, and ensure a reliable developer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provision and configure Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric and related cloud assets following approved patterns.
  • Maintain workspace, compute, storage, identity, access, and secret configurations across environments.
  • Execute platform upgrades, routine maintenance, and production deployments while monitoring health and performance.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure‑as‑code modules, CI/CD pipelines, and automation scripts.
  • Create and sustain operational dashboards, alerts, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
  • Apply security, governance, and networking controls; integrate with Unity Catalog and Microsoft Purview.

Eligibility

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or data platform operations.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and familiarity with Databricks or a comparable data platform.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
