About the role

Citi is looking for a Big Data PySpark Developer to join its Applications Development team in Pune. This hybrid position focuses on designing, building, and maintaining large‑scale data pipelines using Hadoop, Spark, Kafka and cloud platforms such as AWS S3 and Databricks. You will work closely with technology and business partners to translate regulatory reporting and liquidity‑risk requirements into robust data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and system processes to identify enhancements for data‑centric applications.
  • Design, code, test and debug PySpark/Scala Spark jobs and related scripts.
  • Integrate streaming data via Kafka and store processed data on Hadoop or cloud storage.
  • Collaborate with data modelers to create logical and physical data models.
  • Apply data‑governance standards and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Participate in all SDLC phases, from requirement gathering to production support.

Eligibility

  • 3‑5 years of experience as a Technical Data Analyst or similar role in financial services.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting (Basel, CCAR, FR 2052a) is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
