About the role

Coinbase is looking for a senior frontend engineer to lead the design and delivery of its Portfolio experience. You will build responsive, accessible, and pixel‑perfect interfaces for web (React / TypeScript) as well as native iOS and Android apps, handling real‑time financial data at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end development of Portfolio UI, including balances, holdings, and PnL.
  • Create high‑performance, accessible components that render live market data.
  • Collaborate with backend, design, and product teams to turn ambiguous problems into production‑ready features.
  • Drive frontend architecture, component reuse, state‑management strategy, testing, and performance monitoring.
  • Raise engineering standards through thorough code reviews and mentorship.

Eligibility

  • Minimum 5 years of experience building consumer‑facing web applications.
  • Proven track record of delivering production‑grade code with strong test coverage.

Skills

  • Deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend fundamentals such as state management, rendering performance, and accessibility.
  • Experience building responsive UI for web and native mobile (iOS/Android).
  • Ability to design reusable components and maintain high code quality.
