About the role

Caterpillar is seeking an IT Analyst to support and enhance SAP Supply Chain Management solutions, primarily SAP Service Parts Planning, at its Bangalore office. The role involves maintaining, testing, and continuously improving critical SCM processes while collaborating with business and IT teams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve SAP SPP and related SCM processes such as planning engine, demand capture, DRP, forecasting and safety stock.
  • Analyse and resolve application, interface and integration issues, following ITSM incident management for P2‑P4 incidents.
  • Perform functional, unit and integration testing for new changes and document results.
  • Manage end‑to‑end change requests, including requirement gathering, documentation, testing and implementation support.
  • Ensure compliance with governance standards, including SOX, and contribute to the Global Template/SCM Core solution.
  • Collaborate with teams across SAP ECC, APO, CRM and EWM landscapes to ensure seamless integration.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of functional experience in SAP SCM or SAP SPP.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts as required.

Skills

  • Functional knowledge of SAP SPP and SAP SCM modules.
  • Experience with SAP ECC, APO, CRM and EWM integration.
  • Proficiency in ITSM incident management and root‑cause analysis.
  • Ability to design, test and document functional changes.
  • Understanding of SOX compliance and governance controls.
