About the role

Barclays is looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop and enhance applications that deliver business and platform capabilities. The role is based in Pune and involves building scalable, maintainable solutions using modern Java‑based technologies and cloud services.

Responsibilities

Develop high‑quality software using Java, Spring Boot and related frameworks while ensuring performance and scalability.
Collaborate with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to define requirements and create integrated solutions.
Participate in code reviews, promote best‑practice coding standards and contribute to technical communities.
Apply secure coding practices and implement unit tests to maintain reliability and security.
Engage with stakeholders, analyse data from multiple sources and communicate complex technical information effectively.
