About the role

The Mainframe Automation Analyst will design, build and maintain infrastructure platforms that support critical applications and data systems. Working from the Pune office, you will apply software‑engineering practices to automate operations, improve reliability and ensure secure, scalable services for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver and sustain high‑quality infrastructure solutions that meet business needs.
  • Monitor systems, detect issues and drive down mean‑time‑to‑resolution through incident management.
  • Create automated scripts and processes to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
  • Implement secure configurations and protect infrastructure from cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects and fellow engineers to define requirements and integrate solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to internal technical communities.

Eligibility

  • At least a graduation degree (any discipline) is required.

Skills

  • Experience with automation tools such as Z Netview and Z System Automation.
  • Proficiency in REXX coding.
  • Knowledge of workload scheduling and batch automation.
  • Ability to set up automated monitoring, alerting and recovery processes.
  • Strong problem‑analysis, root‑cause investigation and stakeholder communication.
  • Familiarity with JCL, ISPF/SDSF and modern observability practices is a plus.
