About the role

Backbase is looking for a Senior AI Applied Software Engineer to shape AI‑driven features for its digital banking platform. Based in Hyderabad, you will own end‑to‑end delivery of high‑traffic products, bridging backend services and frontend experiences while embedding large‑language‑model capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead full‑stack development from concept through release, ensuring performance, security and scalability.
Design and evolve system architecture, integrating APIs, microservices and data pipelines.
Mentor junior engineers, conduct critical code reviews and champion engineering best practices.
Drive AI innovation by building LLM‑based voice assistants and real‑time personalization using OpenAI models.
Implement entitlement and fraud‑prevention services with a security‑first mindset.
Collaborate within a pod alongside architects, product owners and UX designers to align technical solutions with business goals.

Eligibility
