About the role

Anaplan is seeking a Platform Engineer II to join its Environment Tooling team in Gurugram, India. The role focuses on building, operating, and evolving the platform infrastructure that powers non‑production environments for hundreds of engineers, enabling faster, safer, and more reliable delivery of services.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and run tools that improve developer experience, platform scalability, and security.
  • Drive the next‑generation environments strategy, shifting teams toward automated, code‑defined local and ephemeral environments.
  • Own the health of shared non‑production environments, providing first‑line support and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and evolve Argo CD deployment pipelines, secrets‑management infrastructure, and feature‑flagging capabilities.
  • Refactor and modernize existing Go‑based tools, APIs, and Kubernetes operators to reduce configuration toil.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation and apply agile practices to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

Eligibility

  • 3‑6 years of relevant experience in platform engineering or infrastructure operations.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Skills

  • Kubernetes experience in production or pre‑production settings.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of continuous delivery, GitOps, and Argo CD.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools, preferably Terraform.
  • Experience with HashiCorp Vault or comparable secrets‑management solutions.
  • Understanding of platform‑as‑a‑product principles and developer experience.
  • Bonus: Go programming, Kubernetes operators, LaunchDarkly, container‑based local development, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki.
