About the role

Zeta is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join its Hyderabad engineering hub. You will help keep Zeta’s cloud‑native banking platforms highly available, performant and secure for millions of users. The role is senior‑level, requiring 2‑4 years of SRE experience and a strong foundation in software engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain scalable infrastructure that supports population‑scale banking services.
  • Automate operational workflows with scripts and IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and participate in on‑call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability.
  • Plan capacity and forecast resource needs based on usage trends.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and apply tuning or architectural changes.
  • Implement robust monitoring, logging and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
  • Collaborate with security teams to embed best‑practice controls into the infrastructure.
  • Develop and test disaster‑recovery procedures to minimise outage impact.

Eligibility

  • B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
  • 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience in site reliability engineering or comparable roles.
  • Prior experience in a product‑focused organization is advantageous.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure) are a plus.

Skills

  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, Bash/Shell.
  • Strong automation background with tools like Ansible, Terraform, Puppet or Chef.
  • Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and logging pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and using Git for version control.
