About the role

eBay is seeking a seasoned Platform Engineer to own and evolve its Python Managed Stack on eBay Cloud. Based in Bengaluru, you will design, develop, and maintain core Python modules, automate releases, and ensure the platform runs securely and efficiently for dozens of internal applications.

Responsibilities

Design and implement reusable Python libraries and services used daily by internal engineering teams.
Drive automated monthly releases, certifications, and site‑wide upgrades to keep the platform stable.
Provide developer support through Slack, troubleshoot issues, and turn recurring problems into platform improvements.
Maintain container images (Ubuntu 24, Python 3.12), manage registries, and embed observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and logging.
Integrate security components such as TrustFabric, OAuth and secrets management into the framework.
Build AI‑assisted productivity tools and knowledge‑graph features for developers.
