About the role

Precisely is seeking a Platform Engineer I to strengthen the reliability and efficiency of its global SaaS platform. The role blends software development with site‑reliability practices, focusing on automation, observability, and self‑service tooling across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain automation tools using Go or Python to reduce manual operational toil.
  • Build internal integrations and workflows that boost developer productivity on the SaaS platform.
  • Create and support frameworks for incident response, infrastructure testing, monitoring, and compliance validation.
  • Develop observability solutions, manage alerts, and implement cost‑optimisation strategies.
  • Collaborate with SaaS engineering teams to deploy application and infrastructure updates via automation.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations, conduct blameless post‑mortems, and translate findings into automated fixes.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline (equivalent experience accepted).
  • 3‑5 years of experience in software development, platform engineering, SRE or DevOps.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting production‑grade systems.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Go and/or Python.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible.
  • CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
  • Linux system administration and API‑driven microservices.
