About the role
3M is looking for a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on its AWS‑based Enterprise Data Lakehouse. You will work with SQL, Python, PySpark and Databricks to deliver analytics‑ready datasets for Finance, Supply Chain, R&D and other business units.
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate end‑to‑end data pipelines using SQL, Python, PySpark and Databricks following the Bronze‑Silver‑Gold medallion model.
- Collaborate with analysts, product owners and architects to translate business requirements into reusable data products.
- Implement data‑quality, validation, reconciliation and monitoring controls, including RBAC, data masking and SOX‑compliant safeguards.
- Maintain platform components such as AWS S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, Apache Iceberg, Snowflake and Power BI.
- Apply DevOps practices – CI/CD, Git, automated testing and deployment automation – to ensure reliable production support.

Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field, completed before the start date.
- 4‑5 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, data‑warehouse development or analytics platform support.
Skills
- Advanced SQL (joins, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning).
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark for large‑scale data transformation.
- Experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena) and Lakehouse/Medallion architecture.
- Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of data modeling, data quality, validation and monitoring.
