About Deutsche Bank
Deutsche Bank is a German bank for companies, institutions and private clients. Its four businesses are the Corporate Bank (lending and transaction banking for companies), the Investment Bank (fixed income and currency trading, financing and deal advice), the Private Bank (banking for private clients in Germany and wealth management worldwide) and asset management through DWS, which it majority-owns. It had 89,879 employees at the end of 2025.
It opened its first Indian branch in Mumbai in 1980 and now has branches in 16 Indian cities, plus a banking unit in GIFT City, Gujarat, since 2022. Deutsche India Private Limited, set up in 2005, is its GCC (global capability centre: the bank’s own technology and operations hub), with over 20,000 people in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Jaipur working on technology, operations, finance and risk for the whole group. Pune has a Technology Centre that builds and supports applications for the bank’s businesses, Bengaluru focuses on technology, data and innovation, and Jaipur has about 2,000 staff in operations, technology and risk.
