About the role

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will be embedded into a collaborative team of developers working on real-world, production-grade systems. You will contribute to building and maintaining the foundational technologies that support Walmart’s tech organisation, including data platforms, cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, and enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

• Scalable System Development: Write clean, efficient code to build and maintain large-scale distributed systems.
• Customer Database Engineering: Work on components that power Walmart’s largest private customer database.
• Supply Chain Systems: Contribute to the master data and supply chain platforms that support both online and offline retail channels.
• Mobile Development: Participate in developing mobile solutions that enhance the experience for Walmart associates.
• Security Frameworks: Work within complex security and cryptology suites that protect Walmart’s vast digital ecosystem.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing a B.E, B.Tech, M.Tech, or equivalent engineering degree.
• Batch Year: Candidates graduating in 2027 are eligible to apply.
• Academic Performance: A combined aggregate CGPA of 7.0 or above across all completed semesters is mandatory.

Skills

• Strong foundational knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and System Design.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language — C, C++, or Java — is required.
